The Great Satilla Preserve is a flagship community which melds modern-day conveniences with old-world accommodations where you feel like you have gone back in time 100 years.

This 2,500 acre property combines luxury accommodations with an outdoor experience so that anyone, no matter what your interests are, can find enjoyment in visiting. Our Settlement area stands on top of a prehistoric sand dune that is over 60ft above sea level. Walk off of the porch of the Clubhouse and within 1000 feet you can be below sea level as you enter to flood basin of the Satilla River.

Common areas include our Settlement, the equestrian area and the Preserve.

This area represents about 2100 of our 2500 acres. The remaining 400 acres is divided between 45 home sites which are all located on high ground around the Settlement. Each landowner has a Membership in the Great Satilla Preserve as do  4 Equity Members for a total of 49 Equity Members each owning 2% of the Great Satilla Preserve common areas.

Our old growth hardwood river bottoms meander between pine flats. As you move through our property, it is easy to feel like you have gone back in time when you encounter cypress tress of prehistoric dimensions with bases 20 feet or more around.
Wildlife abounds and it is not unusual to see deer, hogs, raccoons, possums, rabbits, squirrels, Pileated woodpeckers, Red Cockaded woodpeckers, ducks, armadillos and the endangered Gopher Tortoise.
